We have new leaders at the top of the South One table after Basingstoke Bison narrowly defeated Milton Keynes Thunder to go a point ahead of Peterborough Phantoms. The Phantoms themselves were not in league action themselves but did suffer a loss at Sheffield Steeldogs in the National Cup, which saw them sink to the bottom of their group. Streatham are up one place to 7th after they scored a tremendous double at the weekend, defeated Bracknell Bees and Milton Keynes Thunder in successive nights to make it a good weekend for the South East Londoners. And London Raiders netted a double over Invicta Dynamos, beating them in the league on Saturday before netting a National Cup win in overtime on the road Sunday.

Oxford City Stars now have a seven point lead at the top after they put eighteen past Lee Valley Lions, a result which saw Lions go back to the foot of the table after Swindon Wildcats 2 grabbed their first win in eleven attempts by trashing Invicta Mustangs to go a point above Lions. Mustangs did thrash Slough Jets the night before though so not all bad for the Kent side, whilst Bracknell Hornets made it nine wins from ten games after downing Basingstoke Buffalo on the road. And the only team that have beaten the Hornets this season, Chelmsford Chieftains, pulled away in the third period to see off Peterborough Phantoms 2 for the second successive weekend and saw the Riverside based club into sixth spot and with games in hand still could easily be in the top four in a few weeks.

What a difference a week makes for Streatham, last weekend netting a superb double over two ex EPL sides, however this weekend saw them defeated in both outings.  After they were edged out by London Raiders on Saturday evening, they saw Basingstoke Bison gain revenge for their home loss to the South London side at Streatham Ice and Leisure on Sunday.  It was a great weekend for Bison, who thrashed league leaders Peterborough Phantoms in the Autumn Cup to leapfrog them in the Group 1 table.  Swindon Wildcats netted fifteen in their home match with winless Cardiff Fire, climbing into third in the process, whilst Bracknell Bees have no chance of progressing in the National Cup after a narrow home loss to Telford Tigers in their Group D clash.

No doubt who team of the weekend were in South One (Britton), and that was Streatham, who went to Basingstoke Bison and ended their 100% record and shut them out in the process on Saturday before returning to London to dispatch Bracknell Bees and make it a weekend double to remember. Swindon Wildcats smashed Invicta Dynamos at home on Saturday before losing their first game in the National Cup the next day in Telford against the Tigers, whilst London Raiders had a big win over winless Cardiff Fire on Saturday night. Raiders home match with Peterborough Phantoms on Sunday had to be cancelled though due to rink issues, a big shame for all involved. Phantoms did play Saturday and thumped Sheffield Steeldogs at home in the National Cup, although their lead was cut to three at the top of the South One Division after Bison bounced back to win at Milton Keynes Thunder on Sunday. Cardiff Fire are now winless after seventeen games after they lost heavily for the second time at the weekend, with Dynamos being their latest slayer.

Guildford Phoenix bounced back to thrash Invicta Mustangs to go fourth, whilst their were overtime wins for Cardiff Fire 2 and Slough Jets over Lee Valley Lions, who pick up only their second point, and Swindon Wildcats 2 respectively, who picked up their first in the process.
